(Pasadena, CA – October 4, 2004) – Prime Clinical Systems is making it possible for physician practices to generate custom, sophisticated reports directly from its OnSTAFF practice management system, eliminating the need to purchase, support and link to off-the-shelf report writing software.
The decision support report writing tools are available in OnSTAFF: The Next Generation, Prime’s new version of its market leading practice management software, which was developed using the powerful JAVA programming language. The tools enable practices to access data from the OnSTAFF database and generate reports with any number of variables. Users construct the reports via an easy point-and-click report writer application. The reports are then displayed in a standard PDF format, which can be printed out or e-mailed to recipients.
“Imagine being able to develop a report with virtually any variables pulled from the OnSTAFF database – without having to invest in commercial report writing software,” says Nina Fuller, Prime’s Vice President of Customer Relations. “The tools are especially valuable for office managers and administrators who are charged with the task of providing the accurate and detailed data required to run a successful business.”
The report writing tools enable users to easily access, manipulate and present the information needed to make decisions and ultimately thrive in today’s health care industry. The report writing tools specifically enable physician practice users to:
- Automatically e-mail results to predetermined recipients without having to exit the program and attach the reports to an e-mail generated in a separate e-mail program.
- Generate reports automatically during off-hours, without the need for manual intervention or monitoring.
- Choose to scan and store multiple office forms that can then be automatically populated by the OnSTAFF application software and printed or e-mailed to the appropriate personnel.
The advanced report writing tools are available to Prime customers using OnSTAFF : The Next Generation for $850. All customers, current and new, will still have access to the standard report functions available in OnSTAFF. The advanced report writing tools, however, can be used to modify and customize the standard reports. For example, with the tools, users can change the headings or add or drop specific data fields in the standard reports.
“As a company, we are committed to helping medical practices succeed. And, to do that, we realize that we have to offer the most advanced and effective technology available today. That’s why we spent considerable time and resources developing a JAVA version of our software that offers advanced functions such as the report writing tools. We’re willing to go the extra mile to help our medical practice customers succeed,” Fuller says.
Prime will demonstrate the new decision support report writing tools in booth 927 at the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Annual Conference 2004, Oct. 3-6, in San Francisco.
