On 9/12/13 Part B Jurisdiction E will be transitioning Fiscal Intermediary from Palmetto to Noridian. Noridian has announced that claims received by Noridian on 9/12/13 through 9/16/13 will not appear in the Medicare payment system until 9/17/13.

EDI Claims Processing Points of Interest

·        Noridian will begin collecting Medicare Part B claims containing the NEW JE Contractor IDs on 9/12/13. Noridian will be placing the correct date of receipt on all claims; however Medicare Part B claims submitted from 9/12 – 9/16 will not appear in the Medicare payment system until 9/17/13.

·        Medicare of California North (payer id CNMCR)

·        Medicare of California South (payer id CSMCR)

·        Medicare of Hawaii (payer id HIMCR)

·        Medicare of Nevada (payer id NVMCR)

No provider action is required at this time.
