Client Update Notes October 2015

The following Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.

Update may include items labeled ATTENTION which will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.

In previous software, clients who were importing charges to Intellect from an outside vendor experienced an issue with the diagnosis codes coming from the outside vendor due to the decimal in the ICD10 code being sent. This problem has been corrected in this release.

In a prior version, when a user chose a diagnosis while in Charge--►Modify, the ICD-10 Lookup screen did not display. This problem has been corrected.

In the <Claim Number> field of a previous release, the information did not display from the beginning, which caused the first character to be omitted. This problem has been corrected in this release.

In the past the appointment groups were ignored by Intellect when a client had two clinics where the providers and appointments were shared, and the provider and security settings were set for group 1 or 2, based on which clinic each user is to set appointments. This problem has been corrected in this release.

Known Issue:

Charges--►Charge – [Scrub] option
There is a known issue of the claim scrubbing feature sending the 837 as ICD9 after the October 1, 2015 ICD10 date for dates of service 10/1/2015 and greater.
This problem will be corrected in the next release.

Ledger--►Accounting & Ledger--►Open Item - Remark
While in either the Accounting or Open Item screen, when a remark was added and then modified without leaving the ledger screen, Intellect did not save the modifications to the remark.
This will be corrected in the next release.

Schedule --►Appointment --►Full Day – Searching and Adding Appointment
When an 'S' was used to search for an appointment and 'A' was used to add it. Intellect retained the 'S' and 'A' in the patient name field so that the name included those characters.
This will be corrected in the next release.

Management--►Analysis--►Detail -- Financial Analysis Report
In both versions 15.10.15 and 16.05.20 there was a Known Issue that when a Financial Analysis Report was run, if 'Accrual' was selected for the <Cash/Accrual> field, Intellect displayed this pop-up message:

This problem will be corrected in a future update.

FIX Registration--►Regular--►Patient and Registration--►Worker--►Worker

In prior versions, the patients’ race was missing for some of the races. This problem has been corrected.

A prior update had the issue that when ICD-9 was selected and choices were made, Intellect did not work. This problem has been corrected.

As of this release, the warning message has been changed when a user enters a diagnosis code and procedure that do not belong together when posting.

Note: This warning message is activated when the <ICD Check> field on the Utility--►Procedure--►Procedure screen has been filled with a ‘Y’.

In a previous version, several of the fields were not long enough to accommodate some of the encounter diagnosis codes. As of this update, the field lengths have been extended.

In the past, users were unable to search the ICD-10 codes, and the header displayed as ICD-9. These problems have been corrected.

As of this update, the pop-up displayed based on the time set in the <Idle Time in Minutes> field now includes a [Log Out] button. The pop-up now allows users to either request re-entry to Intellect by entering a password and pressing [OK], or logout of the system by clicking the [Log out] button. In a prior software version, the provider name populated the <Insurance> field. This problem has been corrected in this update.
