Intellect Version 9.12.35

Version 9.12.35 was released August 15, 2012.

This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview of the changes follows.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

 

The following summary of new and modified features in the most recent version of Intellect is available to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes. 

  

Charges 

Charge:

 

  • If there is no super bill number, Intellect now populates the <Provider> and <Facility> fields using the patient registration information.   

 

Ledger 

Accounting & Open Item:

 

  • Use the new [View Patient Insurance] button to display a screen showing all the insurances associated with a patient.  

 

Accounting:

 

  • Payment transfers now leave an accounting trail in the ledger. 

 

Utility

Procedure: 

 

  • Use the new <From Date> and <To Date> fields on the Fee Schedule screen to facilitate more than one fee schedule per From/To Date.  

 

Maintenance/Import Data:

 

  • Use the new <From Date> and <To Date> fields to select a fee schedule.

 

Tools/LiveUpdate:

 

  • After updating to version 9.12.35, utilize the Java 1.6 update option to enable Intellect to run faster and visually enhance the display.

 

Schedule

Appointment/Full Day - Delete-Cancel:

 

  • Verify the deletion or cancellation of an appointment via the new pop-up warning message.

 

Appointment/Full Day/App List Tab: 

  

  • Use the new Post Charges option on the context menu to go to the Charge screen and post charges. 

 

 

Update Instructions 

 

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.  

 

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.  

 

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

Print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.
