Palmetto provided the following 999 Transaction example.

 

In conjunction with the example, Palmetto states: ‘Purpose – when a 999 is received, you may: (1) recognize errors occurred and begin a correct/resubmit actions, or (2) recognize that all transactions were accepted. Usage – Reflects technical problems that must be addressed by the software preparing the EDI transmission. NOTE: “Trouble tickets” will likely be addressed technical resources to identify correction needed before resubmission.’
