Run Tasks
Run Tasks
The Run Tasks option allows short cuts to be set up for frequently done tasks. Tasks can be set up to run on a daily, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis, as indicated below.
Running tasks through these options differs from running tasks via automation as these tasks are not run until the menu options are selected whereas automated tasks are run at a specific programmed time. Therefore, careful planning must be completed before setting up these options so that they do not interfere with reports and other procedures already set up for automated tasks. For example, if a clinic has follow up letters set to run automatically at 10:00 p.m. and they are also included in the short cut for Run Daily Tasks, then when the Run Daily Tasks option is clicked the follow up letters run twice – once when the Run Daily Tasks option is selected and once during automated tasks.

Effective version 14.07.01, an administrator fee may be charged to patient accounts on a yearly basis, via Automated Tasks. The Yearly Task is set up by Prime Clinical in Utility --►Task Manager. This task must be run by an office either at the beginning of each year or at the end of each year, and always around the same time.
Note: Offices using a Panel Code other than ADMINFEE to charge the administrator fee should let their Support Team Representative know the Panel Code to be attached to the Yearly Task.
To run the Yearly Task, go to Management --► Run Tasks --► Run Yearly Tasks.
