1. INTRODUCTION TO INTELLECT
I. Using Help
The online documentation may be accessed two ways:
Log-in to the client site, click on [OnSTAFF/Intellect Info], then Documentation. From the selection options on the left, select OnSTAFF Intellect, then Online Documentation.
- OR -
Inside Intellect, click on the [Help] menu option at the top of the screen, and then select Online Documentation.
Using either of the methods above displays the Welcome page of the online documentation.
There are four main buttons at the top left from which information may be found:
Glossary
The table of contents is the default view. If other options are selected, click on the [Contents] button to return to the table of contents view.
The left hand frame displays folders listing Intellect's main menu options. Select by mouse click.
Within each folder there may be other folders or written documentation displayed as a white page
NOTE: there are many documents available through the Index that are not in the Table of Contents.
The left hand frame may be closed by clicking the "X" at the top right of the frame.
The Index is designed to search for keywords programmed to display whole topics or specific bookmarked references.
Selecting the Index Tab displays the left hand frame as an alphabetical list with a search box to enter a desired keyword.
Any Keyword may have multiple results.
Click the Keyword to display the topic in the main window or, if there are multiple references, a sub list displays from which to select the desired option.
Search may be activated from the - Search - box to the right of the screen or the [Search] button, as shown above.
3.1 Search Box
3.1.1 Type a word or phrase for the program to search.
3.1.2 To activate the search, either press [Enter] or click on [GO]. The program searches for any instance of that word/phrase and returns a list of documents on the left side of the screen which contain your word/phrase.
3.1.3 Click on any item and that document displays in the main window.
3.2 [Search] Button
3.2.1 Click on the [Search] button to display a box in which to type.
3.2.2 Type a word or phrase for the program to search. As you type, a list of possible entries may display beneath the box. You may click on any of the entries on the list or continue typing your word/phrase.
3.2.3 To activate the search, either press [Enter] or click on [GO]. The program searches for any instance of that word/phrase and returns a list of documents containing it.
3.2.4 Click on any item and that document displays in the main window.
4.1 Print all pages of a document
4.1.1 To print all pages of a document, make sure to select it by first clicking the main frame.
4.1.2 Select File --►Print
4.1.3 Select the [Print] button
4.2 Print individual pages of a document
4.2.1 To print individual selected pages of a document, make sure to select it by first clicking the main frame.
4.2.2 Select File --►Print Preview.
4.2.3 Select "Only the selected frame" from the drop down.
4.2.4 Choose the desired page.
4.2.5 Select Print.
4.2.6 Choose the Page(s) to print.
Words highlighted in light red contain expanding text which might be a definition or explanation, as seen in the example below.
Clicking the hot spot word (in this case, Encounter) expands the text :
